To discuss your CATERING NEEDS call Dean Lindsay, Snr Partner
Working with Somerset Larder, Dean Lindsay was tasked to design, project manage and ultimately operate the site and ancillary Catering Services to Hinkley Point C.
Providing services under a ‘Zero Harm’ culture, within Nuclear licensed site in rural Somerset against changing requirements, did require fast response and total commitment to the cause.
Project planning and the skills set given to the areas of focus ensure that that the start up and development, from Portacabin serving 250 customers to 400 seater facility servicing 1400 site personnel, worked smoothly and aided the productivity of work force.
Charter are in the process of full Tender for the student, staff and visitor catering services to a large single demographic College in central Birmingham.
By holding informal focus groups and attitudinal surveying with the students, and listening to the feedback from key stakeholders, Charter were able to build the fuller picture as to what theTender really needs to provide.
This linked to a wider understanding of nutrition and hydration requirements for students, and a need for innovative programmes, service layouts etc. will give the College the services delivery that will mirror the College’s objectives and take the services to whole new level.
With relocation of 1200 staff from three existing offices to one central Reading facility imminent, there was a marked need to appoint the right kind of Contractor to provide the highest of standards in Restaurant, Coffee Shop, Vending and Hospitality provision.
Through our associates, Charter were able to assist SSe in all design and equipment requirements for the new build, all within timeline and budget.
Diverse site demographic, from Call Centre to Board Director, meant the service spread must meet all needs and be able to compete with ‘High Street’ competition, literally on the sites doorstep.
Charter were called to deliver the Tender documentation to fulfil the ‘Flagship’ level, and to assist in final assessment with criteria for Contract award.
Significant benefits, both in financial parameters and contractor understanding of client needs were achieved.
With the need to go to Tender imminent, and the need for new impetus and focus to be given to the Services, Charter were asked to prepare the groundwork for OJEU notification and to draw up a set of ‘areas of focus’ for the Tender.
These will form the framework for the responses required, and to deliver the maximum impact on marketing, professional counter layout, and importantly student engagement going forward.
Charter will be including a Key Performance Indicator framework for the contract delivery during the initial three year term, thereby giving surety of continued service improvement and delivery on the Tender ‘promises’
